Here goes

Well, I'm trying this blog thing and see if I can launch into this century along with my teenagers. Fern came home today from NY for the weekend and it reminded me how it would be nice to blog and she Aimee and Cori can keep up with the daily events around here. She (Fern) is busy with nursing school and doesn't call a lot. I usually talk to the other two on the phone every day but I don't keep in touch with Fern as well as I should. When will I have time to post? we'll see. Mari came back from Catalyst, a christian leadership conference, today all charged up but with Fern here wasn't ready to go back to changing Fats dirty diaper when we got out of the car. Neither was I. Oh well, tomorrow will be fun. We're all going to Turnin' and Burnin' , a local pottery firing event with horse and wagon rides, gospel music, old time demonstrations and more. Should have all 13 kids and both grandbabies there. I hope I can get a picture of everyone together since we might not have the crowd together again before Thanksgiving. I dread trying to keep up with Alina. I'll try the leash again and the stroller and lots of boiled peanuts. Sergey has been decent since his insanity on Monday and Tuesday. I hope the excitement of having Fern home and his birthday this weekend doesn't set him off again. I found out that he had aquired about a pound of jolly ranchers on Sunday and had eaten them all on Mon. and Tues. .It makes me wonder about his aggression and violence on those two days since he's been pretty decent since then. It could have been the stiffer consequences but that usually doesn't make much difference. I'm going to make sure that the other boys tell me if he gets a bunch of candy again. Well, I'm going to see if I can post this. A momentus occasion for old mama!
