Turnin and burnin

We had a great day looking at tractors, riding ponies, eating boiled p nuts and just hanging around together. All 13 of my kids and both granbabies, my sister and her husband and kids wandered around and looked at people making old time crafts, demonstrating weaving, blacksmithing, etc. It was a little hard to keep track of the kids but all together it was fun. In my old age I enjoy more and more county fairs and such that bring back the old days. All of my kids love hi-tech stuff but they are all still fascinated by the way things used to be. It was interesting that Sergey, who is from the Ukraine, remembers his orphanage using a washing machine with a gasoline or diesel engine on it, a wringer washer. The foreign born kids are not as far removed from the old days as my American kids.
